Zenless Zone Zero Public Beta Beginner's Guide

2024-07-04 08:21:40

Hello everyone,

With the launch of "Zenless Zone Zero" approaching, I'm sure all players are eager to dive into New Eridu and start playing! "Zenless Zone Zero" is an action game that blends various gaming elements with rich Agent settings and story backgrounds. For new players, understanding how to explore and improve their strength is crucial in the game. Below, we bring you a detailed beginner's guide to "Zenless Zone Zero".

I. Agents Positioning and Team Composition Strategy

In "Zenless Zone Zero," characters are roughly divided into three types: Output (Attack, Anomaly), Support (Support, Defense), and Stum. Each class differs in their base attributes, which become more pronounced with level advancement. As characters level up, players will notice significantly higher damage output from Output characters and efficient Stum capabilities from Breakthrough characters. Therefore, it's typical to form teams with one each of Output, Breakthrough, and Support roles.

Each character possesses two passive skills: a core passive skill and an additional passive skill that activates when teamed with allies of the same faction or attribute. Players are advised to assemble teams based on the attributes of the Output characters to maximize damage output.

II. Battle Techniques

Combat is one of the core gameplay elements in "Zenless Zone Zero". Mastering certain battle techniques can help players better handle various challenges. Currently, battles in "Zenless Zone Zero" revolve around the concept of [Daze]. Players start by using Breakthrough characters to break through enemy defenses, then switch to Output characters to deal damage. When enemies emit a yellow light, players can press Spacebar to switch characters and perform a Defensive Assist; when enemies emit a red light, players can press Dodge to trigger a Perfect Dodge.

III. W-engines Introduction

Each character has a specific profession type, totaling five: Attack, Anomaly, Support, Defense, and Stum. Similarly, W-engines also have five passive effects that can only be triggered when paired with corresponding character types. For example, Steel Cushion is a W-engine designed for strong attackers, so it can only activate its passive effect when equipped by strong attack type characters (such as Nekomiya Mana, Zhu Yuan, Soldier 11).

Currently, there are not many characters in End Zone Zero, so it is not recommended to pull permanent S-class W-engines early on. If you happen to pull Ellen Joe or Zhu Yuan, consider whether to pull [Deep Sea Visitor] or [Riot Suppressor Mark VI]; the improvement from exclusive W-engines can be quite substantial.

IV. Disk Drives Introduction

Disk Drives are categorized into three grades: S, A, and B, based on their quality. Higher-quality Disk Drives not only possess stronger base attributes but also have a higher level cap. Each character can equip up to 6 Disk Drives. When equipping 2 or 4 Disk Drives from the same set, corresponding set effects are triggered. A 2-piece set generally provides a simple attribute bonus, while a 4-piece set typically offers a significant bonus linked to a specific mechanic. It is recommended for players to form sets in a 4+2 configuration to maximize additional attribute bonuses for their characters.

V. Bangboo Introduction

Bangboo currently comes in two grades: S and A. Bangboo is primarily obtained by completing daily tasks and participating in events to earn [Boopons], which are then used to draw from the pool. Currently, Bangboo's skill set includes three types of skills: a [Active Skill], b [Extra Ability], and c [Bangboo Chain Skill]. In addition to its regular active attack skills, Bangboo can act as a quick switch unit when triggering character QTE, allowing it to switch in and release special chain skills for output, fighting alongside players.
