FC 25 Arsenal Rating Predictions

2024-08-15 23:07:56

The FC 25 season is officially upon us, with Deep Dives wrapping up and Beta access beginning this week. Now is the perfect time to dive into our FC 25 Rating Predictions. Over the next few weeks, we'll analyze most of the top teams globally (and Manchester United) as we approach the release of FC 25. Today, we kick off with Arsenal, who narrowly missed out on the Premier League title last season.

FC 25

Goalkeepers

Aaron Ramsdale (84>82)

Aaron Ramsdale was expected to be Arsenal's goalkeeper for the foreseeable future, but just two seasons into his tenure, he has been relegated to the bench. With only 6 Premier League appearances last season, a downgrade seems inevitable.

David Raya (80>83)

The Spaniard, initially brought in as competition for Ramsdale, has swiftly claimed the starting spot. We anticipate that he'll also receive a higher rating in FC 25. We've projected a +3 rating boost for Arsenal's new number one.

Defenders

Ricardo Calafiori (71>77)

Arsenal's new center-back signing exudes a commanding presence. While his highlight reels may not focus on defensive actions, he certainly makes an impression. After a standout season with Bologna and being one of Italy's top performers at Euro 2024, we anticipate a minimum rating boost of +6 for Calafiori.

Jakub Kiwior (74>78)

With just under 1,000 minutes played last season, Kiwior proved himself to be a reliable full-back. Just as he seemed poised to secure a starting role, Arsenal made a splash by signing Calafiori…

Takehiro Tomiyasu (78>78)

A solid season for Tomiyasu, but nothing stands out. We'll be keeping him at a 78 for now!

Jurrien Timber (79>79)

Unfortunately, Timber suffered an ACL injury in his debut match for Arsenal, leaving us without any basis to evaluate his 23/24 season. As a result, we're maintaining his rating at 79.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (80>79)

Since joining Arsenal, Zinchenko has been a valuable player. However, towards the end of last season, it seemed like every player around him had improved, while his performance didn't quite match that level. A few critical mistakes contributed to Manchester City reclaiming the title, leading us to adjust his rating down by 1.

Ben White (80>83)

Ben White had another outstanding season, proving exceptional even though he reportedly isn't passionate about football. With 8 goals and assists from right back in 37 matches and a stellar defensive record, he's earned a +3 rating boost.

Gabriel (84>86)

Considered by many to be the stronger of Arsenal's two center-backs, Gabriel has formed one half of one of the Premier League’s top defensive partnerships. With the entire defense conceding just 29 goals last season, we’re anticipating a significant upgrade for Gabriel in FC 25.

William Saliba (83>86)

Unable to decide which of the two should have a higher rating, we've settled on an 86 for both. Arsenal's defense was a key factor in their near-miss for the league title, as nothing—except for Ollie Watkins—could penetrate their formidable backline.

Defenders

Midfielders

Fabio Vieira (77>77)

11 matches for Fabio Vieira in the league last season, was a fairly average season so we've kept him at a 77.

Thomas Partey (85>83)

Partey spent much of the season sidelined with injury, making only 9 Premier League starts. His performances in these limited appearances didn’t stand out, leading to his rating being lowered to 83.

Jorginho (83>83)

Jorginho had limited appearances last season, but he performed reasonably well when he did play. As a result, there's no need to adjust his rating; he'll remain at 83.

Declan Rice (85>87)

Declan Rice has had a stellar season with Arsenal and England, firmly establishing himself as the second-best holding midfielder in the league. It’s time his rating reflects this. We’re elevating him to an 87 for FC 25.

Martin Ødegaard (87>88)

Arsenal’s 2023/24 season under Mikel Arteta was their best yet, narrowly missing out on the Premier League title. Captain Ødegaard played a crucial role, contributing 8 goals and 10 assists. His outstanding performance earns him a well-deserved +1.

Midfielders

Forwards

Reiss Nelson (74>76)

Nothing too crazy for Nelson in 23/24 but was a valuable squad player and turned up when needed. +2 for FC 25.

Leandro Trossard (81>83)

We considered giving Trossard a higher rating, potentially an 84, but decided to play it safe for now. With 12 Premier League goals last season, the Belgian had a strong campaign. Expect a notable upgrade in the next update!

Gabriel Jesus (84>84)

Gabby, the striker who prefers not to play as one, had 17 starts last season and contributed 9 goals and assists. While his performance was solid, it wasn’t extraordinary. We’re keeping his rating at 84 for now.

Kai Havertz (82>84)

In Kai's first season at The Emirates, there were questions about which Havertz we’d see after a turbulent stint at Chelsea. However, he’s rediscovered his form from his Leverkusen days and has impressed this season, earning a well-deserved +2.

Gabriel Martinelli (84>85)

While the stats might not fully reflect it, we were impressed with Martinelli last season. Despite scoring just 6 goals, he played a crucial role in Arsenal's title challenge.

Bukayo Saka (86>88)

With an impressive 25 goal contributions in the league alone, Saka earns a +2 upgrade to an 88. His standout performances in the Euros further cemented this rating.
